It's been a long time coming.

I've been living in the greater New York area for over two years now. After spending the previous two in Yosemite, California, it was a shock; an expected one, but jarring nonetheless. To put it into perspective, that transition was equivalent to a surfer willingly moving from his beach side bungalow in Hawaii to Kansas.
